Objective To promote creative activities related to photography by fostering artists, hosting exhibitions related to history and expression, furthering copyright education, recognizing technological developments and expressive activities, publishing books and society journals and thereby contributing to the development of Japanese culture.
Activities To achieve these aims, JPS engages in the following activities:
1. Encourages artistic and creative activities related to photography and development of human resources,
2. Hosts exhibitions related to photographic history and expression,
3. Photo-related copyright education and its diffusion
4. Recognizes superior technological developments and expressive activities,
5. Edits and publishes photo-related books and society journals,
6. Photography-related international exchange,
7. Other activities deemed necessary for the accomplishment of JPS objectives.
